about

Following Yaw Appiah’s phenomenal debut EP Ubomi, he continues to evolve the sounds of Amapiano and Afro House with a new exciting project, on July 2nd, 2021.
The LA-based Ghanaian producer’s new record, Before Transition, blends Amapiano across three tracks and features contributions from rising artist Lee Mckrazy based in South Africa and multi-talented artist Bunny Smalls.

Believing in the power of words, Before Transition’s titled tracks ‘Mangwane’, ‘Vuka’ and ‘Njalo’, which are derived from the Zulu language, have an intriguing wordplay that conceptualize the rise of tomorrow.

As Yaw continues to rise by painting his canvas through the creation of sounds, he in addition premieres his very first music video with Before Transition.
A fun, yet mysterious visual representation of the track ‘Vuka’ which showcases captivating visuals of empowered women tastefully expressing Amapiano as a lifestyle.
